With everything else that needs organising on a hen do, the last thing you need is expensive and time-consuming decorations to sort out too. Planning a hen weekend should be fun rather than stressful so we've pulled together our favourite hen party decoration ideas to make it even easier for you.
As an eco-conscious business, at North Sky Yurts we aim to be as sustainable as possible so most of our ideas are eco-friendly which won't cost you loads of money or create lots of waste.
Photo Bunting
Ask everyone in the hen group to send you 5 of their favourite pictures of the bride and get them printed out. All you then need is a piece of string and some small pegs to hang them from when you get to the venue. They make a great gift for the bride to take home or stick them in a photobook for her as a hen party gift at the end of the weekend.
Reuse Decorations
Chances are you've been on a hen do or to a party recently so it's worth asking if there are any decorations left over that you can re-purpose. It gives them a second use and saves you money too. It's also worth checking on Vinted/Ebay/Gumtree to see if anyone is selling a second hand batch of decorations that you can use again.
Choose a Venue With Existing Decorations
At Birds and Bells we decorate the site and yurt with brightly coloured ribbons, fairy lights and paper orbs so everything is ready when you get there!
Fresh Flowers
You don't have to be a florist to arrange some vases of flowers for your hen party venue. Little bunches on tables can really brighten up a space and can be a nice little take home for the bride to be.
Tassell/Pom Pom Bunting
Get creative and make some tassell bunting using strips of leftover/unwanted fabric to bring some colour and texture to your decorations. Or if you can rope in some of the other guests, get making little pom poms to string together to make some bold bunting. Both of these can be reused for other types of parties.
